1. The actual move
The trucks leave our premises at the required time for the move to take place. On arrival at the clients home, the Driver meets the client and acknowledges everything to be done.
All the furniture is carried out of the house, (all upholstered items covered in plastic) and then packed into the truck where all the furniture is covered in blankets and tied with ropes so nothing can move around in the truck while transporting.
When ready, the truck drives directly to the off-loading address. The furniture is placed where the client wants it. The driver gives the client the invoice, which is payable on delivery of the furniture.
2. Packing & material
For your convenience, we can do the packing of glassware, books, ornaments, linen, clothing, etc. at a minimal cost. If you want to do the packing yourself, but don’t know where to get boxes, we can deliver it to your home beforehand confirming that you have booked your move with us. This is not included in the quote for the furniture removal.
Our storage facility is located at our premises in Hermanstad in Pretoria South Africa. The storage facility is laid out according to the strict regulations of our Insurance Company. Further info can be obtained by contacting the office.
It is your choice if you want insurance or not. You can find out from your own insurance company if they cover the moving of your furniture, otherwise we will gladly arrange it for you beforehand.Transit Insurance:
Road transport from point A – point B, cover against collision, burning, turn over & hijacking of the truck.
All Risk Insurance:
Cover against any damage, including Transit Insurance, excluding the packing of breakable items by the client himself , “chipping & denting”
Cover against fire, storms, riots, burglary.
